Age Group GoalsToddlers- Language development: through reading, describing, finger plays & music.
- Gross and fine motor development: through the use of manipulatives and weekly gross motor skills exercises and activities.
- Self-help skills: through following simple directions such as sitting at the table, and picking up toys.
- Social skills: through activities and games that promote and encourage social interaction with peers.
Twos- Language development: through positive oral reading, rhymes and finger play. To “use their words” in expressing their needs and desires. Introduction of circle time activities increases the children’s sense of self and time. Story time is integrated into music and dance.
- Gross and fine motor development: through the use of daily art easel activities to develop upper arm muscles. Play dough, manipulative activities, and weekly gross motor skills exercises and activities reinforce development.
- Self-help skills: through teaching personal hygiene, potty training, using one’s walking feet while inside, self-feeding, and learning to be a “helper”.
- Social skills: through assisting the children’s development from independent play to parallel play and the continuation of language to express needs, feelings, and empathy.

Science awareness: through promoting natural sense of wonder and discovery through hands-on science experiments and living things. Reading readiness: through daily use of art easels, dramatic play, singing, poetry and story telling. Introduction of alphabet. Math development: through shape recognition, colors and numbers 0-5.
FoursMath development: through hands-on experiences that incorporate sorting, patterning and graphing. Pre-reading: through symbol introduction such as upper case letters, name recognition and numbers 1-10. Science awareness: through hands-on science exploration. Social skills: through role-playing, storytelling, and character education. Creativity skills: through daily use of the art easel, free art exploration and dramatic play.
Pre-KindergartenPre-reading: through symbol recognition of lower and upper case alphabet letters, name recognition, and written numbers 1-20. Utilization of whole language, phonics, poetry, storytelling, environmental print, and encouraging literacy development and dictation (oral writing). Math awareness: through hands-on experiences that incorporate rote counting, sequencing, patterning, graphing, and one-to-one correspondence. Science experimentation: through guessing, estimating, learning about nature’s creation, i.e., plants and animals. Hands-on experiments. Social skills: through character education and group activities that strengthen cooperation, team building, and patience in taking turns. To increase awareness of others by reading body languages and discussing feelings.
